'She's hot... I have to write a song with her': Steven Tyler opens up on his surprise appreciation for Taylor Swift

She's not had too much luck when it comes to romance following her doomed relationships with the likes of Harry Styles, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal.
But at least Taylor Swift's talents are being appreciated by some of the male population - with Steven Tyler labelling the country music starlet 'hot'.
In a somewhat surprising revelation, the 64-year-old rocker admitted the blonde singer-songwriter has caught his eye in recent weeks.

And the Aerosmith frontman is even keen to work with the 23-year-old star in the future.
Answering a question about which celebrity he'd like to intern for, Tyler told US Weekly: 'She's blonde with all the hits. 

'More than that, she's beyond talented. I have to write a song with her.'
The former American Idol judge also opened up about his two-season stint on the talent show, explaining he missed fellow panellists Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson after quitting the series to return to his music.

He said: 'I always wanted to see what the other mountains looked like. TV is a whole other animal, and it was good. I miss J-Lo a lot and Randy on and off. It feels good to be back with my band again. It feels really good.'
It was recently revealed that Taylor earned more than Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway and Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt combined in 2012, raking in an eye-watering $57 million from record sales, touring and endorsements.
But in spite of her personal success, the country-pop singer admitted she is terrified of ending up alone.

In an interview with the April edition of British InStyle magazine, she said: 'What I worry about is that I never want to end up kind of a self-centred, vain human being. My fears circle around me making the wrong choices and messing this up for myself.
'I don’t wanna end up being awful and intolerable. Alone. Laying in a marble bathtub by myself, like sad, with a glass of wine just complaining that my life ended up alone because I pushed everyone away because I thought I was too good to hang out with anybody.
'The typical Hollywood sad cliché of the poor lonely starlet with no one because she put up all these walls and didn’t trust anyone. That’s my fear. And that’s why I live my life the way I live my life because I’d so much rather feel everything than end up like that.'

Taylor split from One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles in January 2012, and has since been linked to flame-haired singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
The I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker kicks off her Red tour in Omaha, Nebraska, on Wednesday, with the British star opening for her.
On Tuesday, Ed wrote on his Twitter page: 'Tomorrow I start the Red tour with @taylorswift13, goes on for 6 months. Can't wait to play these cities and venues.'
